What I record
When you open a page on this site, I record:
- the time of the visit and the page you opened,
- your IP address and the approximate location it points to (country, region, city),
- the organization or network your IP address belongs to,
- the site that linked you here, if any,
- your device type, browser and operating system.
A small cookie with a random ID lets me count unique visitors. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone.
Your name, if you share it
The site may ask for your name once. Answering is optional. If you share it, it is stored with your visits so I know who stopped by.
Why, and who sees it
I use this only for my own private statistics: to see who visits my portfolio, for example after I send it to a company. The data is visible only to me, on a password-protected page. It is never sold, shared or published.
Services involved
The site is hosted on Vercel, which also provides cookie-free page performance statistics. Visit records are stored in a Neon database. To find the organization behind an IP address, the address is sent to ipinfo.io.
How long it is kept
Visit records, names and IP addresses are deleted automatically after 90 days. Only daily totals (a number of visits per day, with nothing that identifies anyone) are kept longer.
Opting out
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, your visits are not recorded at all. To have your data deleted sooner, or for any question, write to me: send an email.
